Oftentimes, we venture into the kitchen thinking of putting together a proper meal but end up scrambling for a bowl of eggs and noodles for dinner. Well, while those scrambles do taste heavenly, with the weekend, you probably have more time on hand to try something new. These 3-ingredient recipes are for when we’ve been drowning in WFH and missed out on the grocery run. These short and sweet recipes are super easy and cook in no time, take notes.

1. Butter Parmesan Corn

This mouth-watering 3-ingredient recipe combines the cravings for street-side corn (butta) and the boredom of everyday masala corn. And, not to forget, these corn ears are bathed in cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 6 half ears corn, cleaned, husked

  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

Preheat the oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Spread a thin layer of butter on each ear of corn and lather it in heavy coats of parmesan cheese. Place corn in a square baking dish or tray and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 25 minutes, and devour.

2. Teriyaki Chicken

Chicken recipes are simple, pull out some tender pieces, finesse them in a sauce (of your choice), add some garnish and voila! This 3-ingredient recipe follows a similar pattern and serves up a delectable dish in about 15 mins.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds frozen chicken wings thawed

  • 3 herbs/Italian seasoning

  • Honey to taste for serving

Method:

Preheat your oven to 450ºF (230ºC). Take the chicken wings in a large mixing bowl, add the herbs (Italian seasoning) and mix them well with your hands. Place them on a baking sheet in a try and bake for 25-30 mins. Pull them out, drizzle with honey and they’re ready to be served hot.

4. Cheesy Garlic Broccoli

Paging for the ones high on nutrition but are also lazy to cook up a full meal. Moreover, we highly doubt you had a broccoli crown that tastes this delicious, give this one a shot.

  • 3 crowns broccoli

  • 1 ¾ cups shredded cheddar cheese (175 g)

  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method:

Preheat the oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Place the broccoli in a casserole dish and spread them out well. In a separate bowl, stir the garlic and cheddar cheese together. Then, sprinkle it evenly on the broccoli and add salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 25 mins and serve hot.

5. Flourless Chocolate or Blueberry Banana Muffins
