One person was shot and killed during a robbery at a South Dallas restaurant Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to Cafe Delicious in the 5200 block of South Lamar Street around 12:30 p.m. According to KXAS-TV (NBC5), officers were told that five men wearing hoods had robbed the eatery.

Police confirmed that a restaurant employee was shot in the robbery. Medics transported them to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Dallas SWAT officers took at least four suspects into custody early Thursday in relation to the robbery and homicide. One of the officers shot and killed a suspect who police say was fleeing while carrying an assault rifle.
